Godin Honeymoon Suite Derry Grehan Signature Tread 1-Tread Custom Graphic Guitar.

When I found out that Derry Grehan, the guitar player in one of my favorite bands, Honeymoon Suite, had a signature guitar made by Godin, I had to get one in stock.

Made and designed in Canada, this is a very high quality and just down right cool guitar. It plays exceptionally well and the graphic is awesome.

Excellent components and great workmanship make this guitar great fun to play. It sounds great and it looks cool as well.

If this guitar doesn’t have you Burning in Love, then you have something wrong with you! I’m talking to you, Chris Travis:)

COA is hand signed by Derry Grehan.

New condition, this guitar was only taken out of the case for pictures and has not been played. It comes with all tags, COA, etc in its original case.

Specs&Info:

Designed in tandem with Godin and Derry himself, the Signature Tread 1 features a smooth body with a “D”-shape neck profile that’s easy to handle. Additionally, a collection of EMG pickups provides that a variety of clean and distorted tones, including the patented high-end scream that Derry is known for with Honeymoon Suite. High-quality black chrome appointments and a Floyd Rose Original 1000 tremolo give you flashy looks and tuning stability, even after dishing out the most furious of dive-bombs. Topped off with a famous “Tread” graphic, the Signature Tread 1 will make you feel like your’e nestled at the top of the guitar heap with the legendary Derry Grehan himself.

A Suite history

As the lead guitarist of Canada’s own Honeymoon Suite, Derry Grehan took on a lot of responsibility in formulating Juno Award-winning guitar tones. His tool of the trade? An axe that pioneered the design of this Signature Tread 1 from Godin. With Derry’s own specifications, Godin has revived the look, feel, and sound of the very instrument that took Honeymoon Suite to platinum status. From its black chrome tuning machines to its “Tread” style finish, The Derry Grehan Signature Tread 1 was designed for absolute authenticity, so you’ll be able to channel a taste of the Canuck’s discernible tone for yourself.

Shred-ready EMG pickup duo

Loaded with an EMG SLV and 85 combo, the Signature Tread 1 provides projective high- and mid-end tones, backed up with a punchy low end that doesn’t take over your sound. The EMG SLV single-coil pickup is located in the neck position, and its flat Alnico V pole pieces and overwound amounts to surprisingly clean high-end notes with quick response. Conversely, the EMG 85 humbucker in the bridge position provides a smooth growl that complements the SLV to a T.

Built to maneuver

Thanks to careful consideration, the Signature Tread 1 features a body that’s made to shred on. With ample room between the bridge and neck pickups, you’ll easily be able to pluck your way through any squealing solo you can imagine. Likewise, a “D”-shaped neck provides a firm resting place for your hands and a smooth surface for easy gliding along the fretboard. Signature axes can be a matter of taste, but a view on any angle of the Signature Tread 1 screams amazing guitar performance.
