Don Grosh Custom Set Neck Guitar Vintage Maple Burst Quilt Top W/Brazilian Fret Board-OHSC
I love Don Grosh guitars! This is the second Set Neck I have had come in during the past few weeks and it also has a Brazilian rosewood fret board!
This is an earlier example when you could still get it with a Brazilian Rosewood board, ST #0141.
Immaculate condition, this beauty shows no wear at all. However. It has finished checked, basically over the entire guitar. This is quite common with all Grosh guitars simply due to the fact that they are finished in ultra thin Nitro which is one of the aspects that makes them sound and feel so wonderful; the wood can breathe! Along with that comes the possibility that the finish can check, just like old vintage Fenders, Gibsons, etc.
Again, this is just finish checking. It is nothing you can feel with your fingers. It is not finish cracks. It is checking below the clear. Basically it gives the appearance of an Ultra Light Murphy Lab finish and affects the playbility and really, the beauty of the guitar not at all. As you can see, it is not visible from all angles or from a couple feet away.
The guitar plays perfectly and sounds amazing, as it should.
Comes with original case and specs sheet.
Simply an exquisite and amazing hand made guitar.
It is priced right due to the finish checking.
