The Rich B Legacy Double-neck guitar from B.C. Rich is proof players can have it all with double-neck range, classic rock looks, and unsurpassed stage presence — all at a great price! The legend of B.C. Rich’s double-bladed beast begins in the late 1970s and is now back and ready to rumble in revived form. The Rich B Legacy Double-neck looks indulgent on the surface but is actually quite a smooth operator due to its sleek Legacy series construction. Top features include supple strings with 24.625-inch scale ebony fingerboards; full 24-fret access powered by dual no-heel neck-through construction; Shredzilla Ultra Slim Contour neck carves for fleet fretwork; and two supercharged Duncan Designed humbucking pickups complete with ceramic magnets for high output with classic, clear definition. Last but not least, the Rich B platform’s cache of switches, knobs, and mini-toggles provide endless tone-shaping potential.

Assertive style built for speed

When it’s showtime, the Rich B Legacy Double-neck is ready to rock while leaving players’ freedom intact using solid tonewoods carved for balance, comfort, and great riffs. The body and dual necks are built from high-grade nyatoh. This mahogany-like tonewood is a rising favorite for robust rock tone with hearty punch, sustain, and invigorating clarity. Builders were sure to optimize both the 6- and 12-string necks with the utmost attention to detail. No-heel neck-through construction for each neck fuels top-tier access to upper frets, not to mention a boost in sustain. Unrivaled Shredzilla Ultra Slim Countour neck carves, dual Macassar ebony fingerboards, and speed-conscious 14-inch radii ensure swift movement whether you’re churning out 6-string leads or making a statement with lively 12-string arpeggios and chords. Moreover, the Rich B Legacy Double-neck is built for balance, so you can relish onstage movement and find your double-neck groove in no time.

Four Duncan Designed humbuckers

Double-neck guitars mean double the pickups, and the Rich B Legacy Double-neck features four gig-ready humbuckers primed for classic rock and metal. These are Duncan Designed HB-103 humbuckers, high-output powerhouse pickups based on Seymour Duncan Distortions. HB-103 pickups are great for clean and crunch tones but really shine when pushed hard through driven amps with lots of headroom. Duncan Designed HB-103 humbuckers are passive but hot-rodded with ceramic magnets for golden-era tone that combines the best of modern and vintage styles. Resulting tones pack tight, punchy bass for strums and chordal riffs alongside fiery treble and a harmonically charged upper midrange that fits high-octane leads like a glove. Moreover, a spread of volume, tone, and switching controls makes it easy to dial in and switch between your favorite 6- and 12-string sounds on the fly.

Toggle til you’re blue

More than just a double-neck dalliance, the Rich B Legacy Double-neck furnishes enough tone-tweaking options for a lifetime of play. Volume, tone, and pickup controls offer foundations for precise sonics, but then the Rich B Legacy Double-neck spreads its wings and jets off toward tonal opulence. A reverse phase mini-switch lets you add funky articulation to clean tones and shaky depth to driven sounds. Varitone circuitry, a notch-style filter with six positions, offers potent flavors of sound shaping that have been many a famous player’s secret weapon since Varitone’s introduction in 1959. Each Varitone voice skims off frequencies below the selected notch for radically modified tone and progressively less lows and mids the higher the notch. Without an advanced math degree, it’s tough to begin counting the possible combinations and voices onboard this guitar! There are no wrong answers — toggle away and find what works for you!
