If you are into these vintage Ibanez JEM guitars, here is one with a unique story:
This is a 1991 JEM 777 that was originally Desert Yellow.
The guitar was completely restored by Vince Michael Guitars in NJ which took over a year to complete.
The original Desert Yellow and was refinished in Lock Ness Green.
Dimarzio Gravity Storm humbuckers were added in the neck and bridge..The single coil is original to the guitar.
The Lo Pro Edge tremolo is also new, although the original trem is included as pictured.
The neck on this guitar is awesome with plenty of life on the frets.
The owner had met Steve in 2022 and told him the story of the guitar, after which he signed it on the back as you can see.
The clear coat was removed so Vai could sign, and then re-cleared over it so it will never wear off.
This guitar looks incredible. Having owned a number of original 777 JEM’s, I can honestly say that the pain is an exact match. It is in pristine condition as well.
The neck is in incredible condition for a JEM of this age and it plays superbly with a nice, low action.
Overall, this is a very unique, truly one of a kind, vintage JEM. Obviously it is not all original, but it has a great back story, as well as being signed by Vai himself.
