Description

Roadhouse USA:

1984 Schecter Genesis G6 Illusion Guitar in Black.

Extremely rare from Schecter that was (supposedly) the precursor to the Guild Blade Runner!

This very rare Schecter Genesis model was supposedly commissioned originally by a guitar luthier in Dallas, TX who made a prototype that was shown at the Dallas Guitar Show in 1983. Guild used this design and Joe Perry ended up with the Guild version in the Run/DMC video of “Walk This Way”.

This guitar is an early production model Schecter based on that prototype.

The body and neck are both maple with a Ebony fingerboard.

It has the original Schaller made locking floating tremolo system with Gotoh locking tuners and the string rollers.

The frets are in great condition, as are the electronics with push/pull pots for coil splitting.

It has had a recent setup and plays quite well.

Comes as pictured with hard case.

This is a really cool part of Schecter history and also a bit of Guild history perhaps as well, since this was the design that Joe Perry ended up making famous with his Guild Blade Runner.
