Roadhouse USA:
1980 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Tobacco Burst Guitar W/OHSC.
Occasionally I get in a vintage guitar in player’s condition that is just plain fun and full of mojo; this is one such guitar.
10.1 lbs
This was a one-owner guitar and he not only played it, he did what guys did back in the early 80’s: put a Kahler on it! Such was life for many Gibson guitars back in the shred days of the 1980’s. Amazingly he resisted the temptation to have it routed out for full size humbuckers, and the original mini humbuckers are intact.
The guitar remains mostly original other than the Kahler. Obviously the pickguard that is on the guitar is not original, but the original is included in the case. (I believe it is slightly cracked, hence the change to the black one) The locking nut for the Kahler is also in the case.
As you can see, it was played, but not terribly abused. There are dings and scratches etc, but overall it remains a pretty cool, 45 year old LP.
The frets are flat, as they were with these guitars, and original. It plays great and has an excellent feel and vibe. You don’t want to put this thing down once you pick it up!
Comes with original case as pictured, which is a bit rickety as you might expect, but still does the job.
Overall, this is a really fun vintage piece that you will enjoy playing, that won’t break the bank.
