Description
Roadhouse USA:
1974 Vintage Ovation Breadwinner Guitar W/Original Case.
This beauty came to me from the original owner!
It is in excellent condition. The only real mark against it is that the pickguard has a small crack in it as pictured.
The guitar is all stock and original and plays great. These were such a cool design and incredibly comfortable to play sitting down especially.
This example is about as well preserved for a 50+ year old guitar as you are likely to find.
Comes with original chipboard case as pictured.
Specs/info:
Launched in 1972, the Ovation Breadwinner 1251 not only looks like a medieval battle axe, but is also a balanced, ergonomic guitar specifically designed for sitting. The upper fret access is particularly easy, making soloing a breeze – and those 24 frets give you even more options. With a Mahogany body and textured tan finish, it has a two-piece, bolt-on bounded Honduras Mahogany neck and an Ebony fingerboard. The scale is 24 3/4″ long, and a comfortable 1 11/16″ nut width. The dual large single-coil pickups are incredibly versatile, and especially great for jazz music. Perfect for the studio due to its ergonomic design and emphasis on stationary playing.
